Teen Abstinence & Sexual Purity
 
As Miss Teen Texas International 2004, Kelsey spent her reign promoting her platform: "Teen Abstinence & Sexual Purity".  Her goal was to help teenagers resist peer pressure in issues related to sex.
  
Kelsey joined forces with the Pregnancy Assistance Center North (PACN) and spoke at a number of high schools as part of their "Life Choices" program, which promotes and teaches sexual purity.
  
Other highlights of Kelsey's reign include throwing the first pitch at a Houston Astros game, participating in the "Relay For Life", Oak Ridge Elementary School's "PJ Read In", and the annual Phil Barker Food Drive.
  
Kelsey was named Miss Congeniality at the Miss Teen International competition.
